After 20 years of service in the United States Marine Core, Pointman Staff Sergeant Jeremy D. Martinez has joyfully decided to move on to the next stage in his life.

The retirement ceremony took place on January 29, 2016 in Elks Lodge, located in Mission Viejo, California.

Of course, we were there to support him.

Jeremy’s list of accomplishments are quite impressive. For instance, he received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Action Medal, the Certificate of Commendation, the Marine Security Guard Ribbon, and the Letter of Appreciation.

That barely scratches the surface though. Jeremy got most of these awards multiple times. For instance, he received the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal an amazing six times.

The amazing thing I’m leaving a lot of his awards out. For example, Jeremy is an Honor Graduate of of both the Machine Gun Leader’s Course and the Infantry Squad Leader’s Course.

In summary, it’s hard to find a more decorated marine or a nicer person. Congratulations Jeremy! And best wishes going forward.
